Swansea accountants multi-marathon challenge.
A team of accountants will be doing some checking to see if their figures really do add up to be the contenders. They’ll be taking on the Admiral 10K Marathon to raise money for Golau Cancer FoundationG, based at Swansea’s Singleton HospitalS.
Ten professionals from Swansea-based, Chartered Certified Accountants, Morgan Hemp, will be lacing up for the run on September 24th, as part of a series of fundraising events to say thank you to Golau Cancer Foundation for supporting their colleague Martin Hudson, a director at the firm.
The company’s payroll manager, David Phillips, who is leading the team through their training, will also take on the JCP Half MarathonJ on June 25th This apparently is his idea of a practice run.
Morgan Hemp plans to hold a fundraising dinner at Morriston RFC in November as well as a number of other events in aid of Golau. Based at Singleton Hospital, Golau staff were a great support to Martin’s family during his recent illness. In fact, Martin will be joining the rest of the team for the Admiral Swansea 10k too, now he is; thankfully, on the road to recovery.
